Which protection for which task

• Heat radiation, open flame, hot metal splash — Heat protection sleeve +550 °C. Protective sleeve for cables and hoses in steel mills: flame, radiant heat and metal splash up to +550 °C. Red, smooth, non-flammable cover of synthetic elastomer that resists oil, abrasion, weather and ozone; robust yet flexible. ID 75–300 mm, coils of 20 m.
• Cables and welding torch packages — Welding cable protection sleeve. Textile reinforced rubber sleeve for electrical cables and welding torch hose packages: rubberised textile inside, black cover that resists abrasion and weathering; electrical insulation above 5000 V. ID 19–51 mm, −30…+80 °C, coils of 40 m.
• Mining — PROTECTION 5HD. Flame retardant, antistatic cable protection hose for mining. The cover resists flame, oil, weather and ozone. ID 13–51 mm, 5 bar, −30…+85 °C, coils of 20 and 40 m.

Choosing the size

Measure the outer diameter of the cable bundle or hose — including the couplings, if the sleeve has to pass over them — and choose a sleeve with a larger inner diameter.
