Abrasive hoses

Which hose for which task

• Cement, sand and gravel under pressure — DELHD 10 D. Delivery hose for concrete, sand, gravel and other dry abrasive materials. Conductive inner tube, antistatic cover. ID 51–120 mm, 10 bar.
• Layflat delivery hose — DELCEM 4 LF. For concrete, sand, gravel and other dry abrasive materials; lays flat when empty, not for suction. ID 90–152 mm, 4 bar.
• Suction and discharge of abrasive media — DELHD 10 SD and DELHD 10 SD GR. Steel helix for work under vacuum, 10 bar. DELHD 10 SD: dry abrasives such as cement and sand, loading and unloading of tank trucks and silos; ID 51–203 mm. DELHD 10 SD GR has a helix grooved cover that makes it very flexible; ID 51–102 mm.
• Sand and shot blasting — DELSAND 12 D and DELSAND 18 HEAVY. Abrasion resistant blasting hoses with a conductive inner tube. DELSAND 12 D: ID 13–102 mm, 12 bar. DELSAND 18 HEAVY, heavy duty with high abrasion resistance: ID 13–65 mm, 18 bar.
• Concrete with pneumatic concrete pumps — DELCEM 10 PL. Concrete placement hose for wet concrete, cement and sand; wear resistant tube and cover, high kink resistance. ID 25–127 mm, 10 bar.
• Plaster and mortar — DELPLAST 40 D. Hose for plastering machines: plaster and mortar at up to 40 bar; conductive inner tube. ID 25–102 mm, 40 bar.
• Concrete pumps — DELPLAST 85 D. Concrete pump hose with steel wire reinforcement; antistatic inner tube and cover. ID 51–152 mm, 85 bar, −40…+70 °C.
• Suction of stones and sand — DELHD S and DELHD S LITE. Suction hoses with a steel helix, vacuum up to 0.9 bar. DELHD S: stones, rock, sand and cement in mines, tunnels and on construction sites; ID 76–254 mm. DELHD S LITE: very light and flexible, for stones, sand and debris in industrial cleaning; ID 51–254 mm.
• Gravity discharge from silos and hoppers — DELHD TUBE. Soft natural rubber tube with a brown wear layer, for sand, gravel, cement and other abrasives; no pressure. ID 80–600 mm.

Drilling mud and bulk materials

• Drilling mud and crude oil — DELDRILLING MUD 20 D, DELDRILLING MUD 27 D, DELDRILLING MUD 20 D X and DELDRILLING MUD 20 SD. For oil rig services, 20 or 27 bar; DELDRILLING MUD 20 SD is a suction and delivery hose, the other three are delivery hoses. DELDRILLING MUD 20 D X has an X-NBR inner tube for high abrasion resistance and is for crude oil with up to 50 % aromatics. ID 76–305 mm across the four series.
• Abrasive bulk materials — DELBULK 20 D, DELBULK 40 D, DELBULK 20 SD and DELBULK 40 SD. DELBULK 20 D and DELBULK 40 D are delivery hoses for docks and oil rigs; DELBULK 20 SD and DELBULK 40 SD are suction and delivery hoses for muds and dry abrasives such as bentonite, sand, cement and barite. 20 or 40 bar, highly abrasion resistant natural rubber inner tube; ID 76–152 mm across the four series.

The DELDRILLING MUD and DELBULK series have a flame retardant cover resistant to sea water, oils and ozone.

Vacuum trucks and street sweepers

Hoses for these machines are in the vacuum truck hoses section: DELHD 10 SD as the transport hose on vacuum trucks, DELHD 10 CR and DELHD 5 CR as working hoses, and the suction hoses DELSC STREET SWEEPER and DELSC STREET SWEEPER LITE for street sweepers and industrial cleaning machines.

Static electricity

Dry abrasive media moving through a hose can build up a static charge. DELHD 10 D, DELHD 10 SD, DELHD 10 SD GR, DELSAND 12 D, DELSAND 18 HEAVY, DELCEM 4 LF, DELPLAST 40 D, DELSC STREET SWEEPER and DELSC STREET SWEEPER LITE have a conductive inner tube (R ≤ 10⁶ Ω) and an antistatic cover; in DELCEM 10 PL and DELPLAST 85 D the inner tube and the cover are antistatic. DELHD 10 CR has a copper wire for grounding; DELHD S, DELHD S LITE and the DELDRILLING MUD and DELBULK series have two. DELHD 5 CR is protected against static electricity. Wear

Abrasive media wear the inner tube fastest where the hose bends. Lay the line with gentle bends and without kinks.

Supply and assembly
