How the hose line is built

The line starts at the suction inlet of the machine. One or more sections of transport hose, joined with couplings, bring it to the work area. The last section is the working hose, connected to a suction pipe or nozzle.

Transport hose: DELHD 10 SD

• Suction and discharge hose for abrasive media such as cement and sand; also for loading and unloading tank trucks and silos.
• Abrasion resistant; smooth, conductive inner tube (R ≤ 10⁶ Ω) and antistatic cover; high strength textile plies and steel helix.
• Vacuum from 0.5 to 0.9 bar depending on the size. Working pressure up to 10 bar, so the same hose can also be used for discharge.
• ID 51–203 mm, coils of 40 m, up to ID 152 mm also 61 m. DELHD 10 SD specifications

Working hoses

• DELHD 5 CR — flexible. Extremely flexible yet robust hardwall hose for dry or wet media such as mud, sand or blasting media. Corrugated cover, vacuum proof, protected against static electricity. ID 51–150 mm, 5 bar, coils of 20 and 40 m.
• DELHD 10 CR — for stones and gravel. Suction and delivery hose for concrete, sand, gravel and other abrasive materials. Brown natural rubber inner tube; textile plies and steel helix; corrugated, antistatic chloroprene cover; copper wire for grounding. Can be supplied with split flanges. ID 80–305 mm, 10 bar, vacuum up to 0.9 bar.

Street sweepers: DELSC STREET SWEEPER and DELSC STREET SWEEPER LITE

DELSC STREET SWEEPER is a very flexible corrugated suction hose for street sweepers and industrial cleaning machines: leaves, grass and debris, abrasive granulates and powders. DELSC STREET SWEEPER LITE, for the same machines, is also compressible and compensates misaligned connections. Both have a conductive inner tube (R ≤ 10⁶ Ω) and an antistatic cover; ID 102–305 mm, vacuum from 0.3 to 0.7 bar depending on the size. DELSC STREET SWEEPER in ID 203 and 254 mm is supplied only in cut lengths of 1 m, 1.4 m, 1.6 m and 2 m.

Ends, assembly and testing

We fit couplings to the standard used on your machine. We cut hoses to length, fit the couplings and pressure test the assembly; for a line that must stay antistatic, we also check electrical continuity. See hose crimping and assembly and non-destructive testing of hose assemblies.

Questions

What is the difference between a transport hose and a working hose?
The transport hose makes up the long line from the machine towards the work area. The working hose is the short end section, connected to the suction pipe or nozzle.

Can the transport hose be used for discharge as well as suction?
Yes. DELHD 10 SD is rated for both: working pressure up to 10 bar, vacuum from 0.5 to 0.9 bar depending on the size — see the size table.

Is the transport hose antistatic?
Yes. DELHD 10 SD has a conductive inner tube (R ≤ 10⁶ Ω) and an antistatic cover.
