Steam hoses
Hoses for saturated steam and hot water: steam cleaning of tanks and pipelines in industry, washdown of floors and equipment in food production. Steam temperature is set by pressure: DELSTEAM 170 °C is rated for 6 bar and up to +170 °C, DELSTEAM 210 °C with steel wire reinforcement for 17 bar and up to +210 °C, DELSTEAM FOOD 170 °C with a white inner tube of food quality for steam up to +170 °C at 7 bar. Superheated steam can exceed the temperature rating of a hose.

Which steam hose
- DELSTEAM 170 °C — low pressure. High strength synthetic textile plies; working pressure 6 bar; up to +170 °C; two crossed copper wires for grounding. ID 13–102 mm.
- DELSTEAM 210 °C — high pressure. High tensile steel wire reinforcement; working pressure 17 bar, burst pressure 170 bar; up to +210 °C, short-term peaks up to +232 °C. ID 10–102 mm; for ID 19–51 mm also a version rated 18 bar.
- DELSTEAM FOOD 170 °C — washdown in the food industry. For floors and equipment in food production: hot water up to +100 °C at up to 21 bar, steam up to +170 °C at up to 7 bar. White, odourless and tasteless EPM inner tube of food quality, blue cover. ID 13–51 mm.
DELSTEAM 170 °C, DELSTEAM 210 °C and DELSTEAM FOOD 170 °C have an EPM rubber inner tube and a cover resistant to abrasion, ozone and weathering. The lower temperature limit is −40 °C.
Why the ratings are given for saturated steam
The temperature of saturated steam is set by its pressure: at 6 bar gauge it is about +165 °C, at 17 bar gauge about +207 °C. That is why the pressure and temperature ratings of each series go together. Superheated steam is hotter than saturated steam at the same pressure and can exceed the temperature rating of the hose. Pin pricked cover
The covers of DELSTEAM 170 °C and DELSTEAM 210 °C are pin pricked: small perforations let steam that diffuses through the wall escape, so the cover does not blister.
Use
DELSTEAM 170 °C and DELSTEAM 210 °C carry saturated steam for steam cleaning of tanks and pipelines in industry; DELSTEAM 170 °C also carries hot water. Drain DELSTEAM 210 °C after use. DELSTEAM FOOD 170 °C is a washdown hose for floors and equipment in food production, for hot water and steam.

Sizes
1/2" = 13 mm, 3/4" = 19 mm, 1" = 25 mm, 1¼" = 32 mm, 1½" = 38 mm: these sizes are available in DELSTEAM 170 °C, DELSTEAM 210 °C and DELSTEAM FOOD 170 °C.
Couplings and assembly
Steam hoses need couplings made for steam service. We assemble hoses with couplings and pressure test them: see hose crimping and assembly.
